The ntzMedia control not only provides basic playback functionality, but a host of features you won't find elsewhere. For instance, the Zoom property lets you specify the maximum magnification for video playback. So rather than the control changing size or small videos becoming over-magnified, all videos can be shown at an appropriate size, while maintaining proper aspect ratio.
Additional features include automatic suspension of system screensavers during video playback, hiding the cursor during full screen mode, video frame capture, and much much more.
Two included objects give you the ability to quickly retrieve media related information about files without opening them for playback. The Media object retrieves characteristics relating to the nature of the media, such as length, dimensions, bitrate, etc. The ID3 Tag object retrieves ID3 Tag information, including custom frames! So even as the ID3 standard is revised or expanded, your application can be immediately updated to take full advantage.
Supported media types include ASF, AVI, BMP, CDA, DivX, GIF, JPEG, MP1, MP2, MP3, MPEG, WAV, WMA, and WMV.
